1. The most important thing
To participate in the race, you must be registered on the S10.run platform. Your gadgets must manually or automatically upload data to S10.
You must be registered for the run. The service will notify you of successful registration. If you have any doubts, reload the registration page. The start protocol is not available to the participants.
Each participant starts from any place chosen. The participant must finish the selected distance and upload the track to the service before the start window closes.
The track type must be "running". Nordic walking, alpine skiing, golf and skateboarding will not be taken into account
2. Distance and timeThe distance specified in the regulations must be issued as a separate track. The entire track is taken into account in the calculation of time. No separate parts of the track can be highlighted and will not be taken into account in the finishing protocol.
For competitions with declared distance,
the track must be no shorter than the competition distance and no longer than it by more than 1 km.
The distance time is the time between start and finish.
Pauses will be included in the result.
Algorithms of Strava/Polar/Garmin straighten the trajectory and can reduce the distance that you measure with your gadgets. If a Strava track is shorter than the declared distance, it will not be taken into account. If you run more than the declared distance, we will take into account the time covering the exactly declared distance. Run with some reserve.
You cannot run on a treadmill. We don't know whether you ran a course on a treadmill or just turned it on while sitting on the couch.
3. Track Requirements
Running downhill is prohibited. Using the terrain deliberately to gain advantage is a violation of the rules. If you doubt the terrain of the track, it may be a good idea to create a loop route. Running in circles is not recommended.
If you run in a stadium, the distance will be calculated based on the number of circles multiplied by the first lane's length in the stadium. Sections of the track before the stadium and after the stadium are not taken into account when calculating the distance. Using any means of transport, including roller skates, external assistance and any other ways of improving the result is not allowed.
If you run in the stadium and at the finish you do not fit into the specified distance time, make a mark at the finish line (press the LAP button) and continue at a cool down pace. Otherwise the result will be accepted by the total time. If there is a cut-off on the finish line, the time in the protocol will be taken according to the cut-off.
4. Protocol and results
Registering on the s10.run platform, you must select and indicate the service that you use for recording the track. Adding a service, you must grant all permissions to access the track data. After gaining access, the platform automatically receives and processes the tracks of the participants. You don't have to upload tracks to the platform manually.
After syncing and granting access, the platform receives data about your run: starting time, finishing time, distance and some other technical parameters.
You need to synchronize the tracker before the start window closes.
Beta versions of start and finish protocols are not published.
5. Timeline (time in GMT+3 time zone)The starting window opens at 00:00 on the first competition day and closes at 23:59 on the last competition day.
The beta version of the protocol is formed in real time with some delays associated with the service synchronization mode.
On the starting window closing date + 1 day:
Until 9 am, a participant sees only his own result. At 9 am, the full protocol is published.
Appeals are received: from the opening of the starting window to the closing of the starting window + 1 day.
The track is being verified until 18:00
On the starting window closing date + 2 days:
No later than 21:00 the beta version of the protocol becomes the final version.
Not later than 21:00,
diplomas of the participants are published on the protocol page. The diploma is available for downloading within a month.
On the staringt window closing date + 3 days:
The rating is updated
6. Appeals
Appeals received: from the opening of the starting window to the closing of the starting window + 1 day.
Appeals are accepted only through the link to the email, which is specifed on the protocol page.
The appeal must include your id in the S10 system, a clickable link to the track in the tracker and a detailed description of the problem. Otherwise appeals are not considered. If you send an email from the protocol page, then your Id will be inserted into the email header automatically. Before sending your appeal, make sure you've read the rules and checked the checklist.
All correspondence in other communication channels is for entertainment purposes only.
7. Profile
The protocol is automatically generated based on the data specified in the
participant's profile on the s10.run platform. Gender, age, surname and first name of the participant can be changed by the participant in his profile only before opening the start window. It is not possible to change the data in the protocol manually.
8. Age and gender categories of participants
For each distance of the challenge there is only one protocol, unless the race formula requires other conditions. The time of male and female athletes of all ages is multiplied by a gender-age factor, which depends on gender and age. The coefficient is calculated on the basis of world records in the age categories for male and female athletes.
9. Rating
Each run generates rating points. Rating points take into account gender, age, place in the finish protocol. The main contribution to the ranking is progress relative to previous races. The link to the rating is available after authorization from the main menu of the service.
10. Track auditVerification of the tracks is carried out by a mathematical tribunal.
The participants' tracks must be public and open for review.A closed or deleted track is moved to the end of the protocol, since the system cannot calculate the result and by default considers it to be worse than the tracks available for audit.
If you are claiming prizes in a ranking or in a separate race, the track must contain data of the route. In controversial situations, heart rate and cadence data will help you to make a fair decision about the acceptability of the track. The Mathematical Tribunal has the right to set off the result of the official competition's protocol.
Top 10 athletes' tracks in the race protocol must contain data on heart rate and cadence. If this data is not available - DSQ (unless you provide the official offline race protocol).
Editing or any other manipulation of the file containing training data is forbidden.
The Mathematical Tribunal may request additional data on the track from the competition: earlier tracks of the participant, the age, as well as other data that helps to make a fair decision.
The data requested by the Tribunal must be received no later than 23:59 on the date following the closing date of the starting window.
The Mathematical Tribunal requests data via the email specified in the participant's profile. The absence of a response to the request will be taken into account when forming a decision by the tribunal
